We had a wonderful day with friends during Family Day weekend in this beautiful Winter Wonderland. The windows create a stunning view of the lake. The open space and large kitchen we’re very inviting. Bedrooms were large and two bathrooms are always a plus. We will have to return to see what this place looks like in summer. The street and lake were fun to walk on. Skiing was close by. Polpete restaurant located in an older home was exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a great stay.

We loved the location on the water with a private beach.The main floor with primary bedroom was a good size however the bathroom was not an ensuite.The lower floor, with walk out and rec room was comfortable however the bedroom with queen bed was small and the mattress was quite soft.Overall we enjoyed our stay but would reserve the bottom floor for kids rather than another couple.

Wow, we had a really great time at the cottage. The view’s lovely, the cottage was super clean and just as described. The host really lovely, responded quickly to all questions and really great to communicate with. Private beach access and the supplied activities an added bonus. I highly recommend this cottage and we will return next year!

Lovely location, attractions for different needs. Water for the children and Thornbury and Meaford a short distance away. The house was super nice. Would book again.

Well-appointed space including kitchen utensils and all the rest. Very private and quiet (June). Nice access to the beach/water. If you have a favourite kitchen knife, bring it. Better communication with the services would help. We had the grass-cutter show up just minutes away from sitting down to a steak dinner. He was unaware that the place was being occupied. We would return in a heartbeat.

We used the accommodation for overflow for a wedding weekend. We didn’t spend a lot of time there and for the most part this property is well set up just dated in terms of furniture and lots of spiders and cobwebs on the outside deck that could have been easily cleaned off prior to guests arrival. The furniture is old and it is reminiscent of your families cottage that hasn’t been updated. The beds in the basement are small and good for children. The road is use at your own risk and would be tricky at night if weather was bad. It definitely worked out for our purposes and as long as you understand it’s not updated you won’t be disappointed.

This is a beautiful place with lots of beautiful surroundings and a private beach. I did find the inside of the home a bit dated and there was a strong smell inside the home that was not welcoming. We also found the outside with lots of spiders that we had to remove in order to enjoy our time spent outdoors. There were also a few spider webs inside so the cleaning could have been better. They had everything you needed to cook great meals and the Bbq didn’t disappoint. The kayaks were a big hit and the fire place was magical at night. Overall a wonderful experience.

Hi Leidy, we're happy to hear that you enjoyed our home on the bay and all the amenities. However, we're disappointed to hear about the smell you noted. We've had members of our team check the home prior to and following your departure and no unusual smell has been noted, leading us to believe that this may have been the scent of the pine-sol floor cleaning compound used to sanitize the home. Regardless, we apologize that you did not enjoy the smell. As for the spiders, we're sorry that there were some during your stay. Our team has made special note to thoroughly check for spiders art all of our waterfront properties as they are more common in those areas, but unfortunately some spiders have still made their way back outside at this time of year even after the cleaning. Thankfully with Summer ending this is not an issue we've had feedback of since, but we understand the disappointment this may have caused. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a better stay.

Just had a fabulous 3 days at an incredible setting right on the water. I found this home to be very private, comfortable, easy to look after. The place was pretty clean very enjoyable, host were very responsive 💯 would book this place again on a minute I will recommend this home highly! Everything was easy. If you like to golf, The Lora Bay Golf Club is literally 5 min away! Great get away for a group that like to travel to ⛳️ Thank you!

Very nice home in a very private and quiet location. Right on the water which we good for both swimming and kayaking. Great view. My family loved the place. Just a note, not walking distance to anything so perfect for the quiet and private aspect of our stay. For restaurants, grocery, shops or tennis/pickleball courts, it's only about a 10-15 minute drive into town. Management team was very responsive with all our inquiries. Thank you for hosting us.
